  • Anxiety | Stress Management

    Citizens Counselling offers affordable couples, group and individual counselling. They cover topics including relationships, grief, depression, conflict resolution, self-esteem, and stress and anxiety management.

  • Youth | Family

    They offer a variety of sessions focused on children, youth and family. They focus on mindfulness, Expressive Art Therapy, and offer school observation reports.

  • Harm Reduction

    AVI Health provides advocacy for people with HIV and hepatitis C. It uses evidence based action to provide support, reduce stigma, and prevent infection. It provides group and individual support, workshops, and outreach to the community in reducing stigma associated with HIV and hepatitis C. Harm reduction supplies are also available.

  • Dawn Cox Counselling

    Dawn is a certified counsellor who focuses on trauma recovery, First Responder stress injuries, and multicultural counselling. She helps people with their self confidence and self-esteem. She has training working with survivors of sexual assault, abuse, and traumatic brain injury. She uses intuitive approach to adapt to clients’ needs using methods such as CBT.

  • Sex education | Harm prevention

    This organization is committed to being socially just and culturally sensitive. It empowers and supports women, Trans survivors of sexual assault, and child sexual abuse. It provides education programs advocating for positive sexual relationships. They provide individual trauma and group counselling options and have a service access line available.

  • Dementia

    Specializes in dementia needs for seniors providing 24-hour care, private rooms, and pleasant common spaces. It provides social interaction activities and integrates family involvement.

  • Suicide Prevention

    NEED2 is made of three pillars of services; intervention, prevention and support. NEED2 crisis line (youthspace.ca) runs 6-12am; 365 days a week. It is a text based chat line for youth across Canada under 30. It can be accessed via text at 778-783-0177 or online at youthspace.ca. NEED2 also provide suicide prevention workshops in community as well as in schools for youth 9-19 years old. In addition to these services NEED2 provides a monthly peer support group for adults who have experienced suicide loss.

    Island Health provides links to a variety of services for mental health, in-patient care, and educational programs available. It is a hub for people to find a wide assortment of services.

    Pegasus provides a variety of services for those suffering with addiction. This includes outpatient treatment, interventions, medical monitoring, and counselling. They are committed to helping others transition to healthier lives. They have good knowledge of public resources involved in substance abuse.
